Hp Pavilion Crackling Sound

No more crackling! Both of  them) Have started after reinstall of system .

I have tried many suggestions online.    I am desperate for a permanent solution!! Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on Device Manager. 2. If you have a Seagate external hard drive and there is software installed, try uninstalling it and check if the problem persists. Thanks Ratedk for sharing these info.

I have to set the level down to 3 or 4.  It doesn't matter if I use the socket on the laptop or the socket on the dock. Thanks!

After this the crackling was still there.Next, in the Sound Control Panel still, move from the Playback tab to the Recording tab. Good Luck. Please help if anyone has faced this issue and have solved it. Nothing to enable.
