Only way to find out is to take it apart and check. you can create a second partition or you can extend the original one to take all the available space.To create a new second partition just right-click on the unallocated space and The problem persists at both times, when the laptop's plugged in and when it's on battery. I doubt this forum will have an answer for this problem but while I'm listing my problems I'll add this one.
